Visit Avalanche Lake

Avalanche Lake, situated just 8 kilometres from Emerald by Nature Resorts, is a captivating natural wonder. It was formed in the year 1823 following a massive landslide, hence the name ‘Avalanche.’ Embark on the Avalanche Jeep Safari organized by the Forest Department, a journey that not only promises an adrenaline-pumping experience but also contributes to the well-being of the local community. This hour-long safari takes you through the heart of pristine forests, revealing nature’s untouched beauty, and makes stops at an ancient temple, and a majestic dam. There is an entry fee of Rs.35 and a jeep safari which costs Rs. 250 per person.

The name Emerald Lake evokes the limpid water body’s beauty perfectly. Located 3 km away from our Nature Stay, its waters reflect shifting shades of emerald-blue, set against the backdrop of lush green meadows and dense forests.
