For tourists visiting Ooty and Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, an e-pass is mandatory for vehicles registered outside the Nilgiris District, and can be obtained through the official website epass.tnega.org.

Who Needs an E-Pass?
Tourists: All tourists traveling in vehicles not registered in the Nilgiris District.
Vehicles: Vehicles registered outside the Nilgiris District.
Exemptions: Local residents and tourists using government buses are exempt.
How to Obtain an E-Pass:
Online Application: Apply for an e-pass through the official website epass.tnega.org.
Required Information: You’ll need to provide information like the number of passengers, vehicle type, fuel type, dates of entry and exit, purpose of visit, and address.
Checkpoints: E-passes will be checked at designated border checkposts prior to entry into the district.
